About the Author

Alex Mebane is an actor, writer and an Emmy Award winning producer. He began his career as a "grip" on the "Hey Vern, It's Ernest!" television commercials in Nashville, Tennessee.

He can't explain his fondness for old vintage nostalgic signage any more than he can explain his love of maps.

He's lived in Santa Monica since 1998.
